HOW LONG WILL MY FOLLOW-P PROGRAM LAST?
Most polyps are found within 2 years after surgery. However, follow-up is life long.
WHAT IS INVOLVED IN THE FOLLOW-UP PROGRAM?
A history and physical exam with your doctor. Blood tests and colonoscopies are routine.
WHAT ABOUT MY FAMILY?
Close relatives (parents, brothers, sisters, children) are at higher risk. Screening colonoscopy can detect early polyps.
